First bite of the Fish & Fries

A new Lenten offering from McDonalds.

Fried creamy dory fillet, served with french fries and a dipping sauce (Tartar, Thousand Island, or Sweet & Sour).

The fish is delicious, fresh and well seasoned (not salty at all).  It's also fried perfectly, golden and not oily. The light and crispy batter complements the flaky, moist fish.

Now, among the dipping sauces, Sweet & Sour is the best option. Its taste is balanced. The Thousand Island needs more ketchup flavor. As for the Tartar, well it doesn't like tartar sauce, more like pickle relish. It's not bad, but it's not tartar.

An a la carte order costs Php 139.

Try it and judge for yourself.
