Kaya Bread

It's by Hainanese Delights.

It's crusty soft bun, served with butter, condensed milk, and coconut jam.

Is it good? Yes. The bread itself is bland, which makes it a good vessel for all the yumminess of the milk, jam, and butter. The coconut jam (kaya) is not too sweet, and has good consistency (not pasty). Same can be said about the milk; its sweetness is not cringe-inducing. And the butter is just divine on the bread.

We also like the play on textures: the crust is flaky and a bit crisp, while the inside is soft.

An order costs Php 50.

Try it and judge for yourself.
