First Scoop: Baskin Robbins

We were in Bonifacio Global City one afternoon and decided to drop by Baskin Robbins, a famous ice cream shop, located inside Central Square.

While we were choosing which flavors to enjoy, the store attendant let us try two flavors: Jamoca and Maui Brownie Madness. Then we bought 2 servings of the Five Scoop so we could try ten more flavors: Coconut, Gold Medal Ribbon (vanilla and chocolate ice creams with caramel drizzle), Green Tea, Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough, Peanut Butter 'n Chocolate, Macadamia Nuts 'n Cream (vanilla ice cream with chunks of macadamia nut), Love Potion #31 (white chocolate and raspberry ice creams with raspberry sauce and chocolate chips), Caramel Turtle (vanilla ice cream with caramel drizzle and chocolate bits), Blackberry Yogurt, and Strawberry Yogurt.

Generally, the ice cream was delicious. The flavors were authentic and were not drowning in sugar. We particularly liked the subtle and balanced taste of the vanilla, the deep bittersweet chocolate, the tartness of the Strawberry and Blackberry yogurts, the freshness of the Coconut, and the strong taste of the Jamoca.

We also liked the thickness of the ice cream. What we did not like much was the price: an order of the Five Scoop costs Php 145, and a scoop of ice cream costs Php 89. Sure, the ice cream was delicious, but it wasn't great enough to be that expensive.

Baskin-Robbins is on the 3rd floor of Central Square, in Bonifacio Global City.
