We were in the supermarket one afternoon when we saw a whole rack of egg-looking treats: Kinder Joy, chocolate snack with a surprise inside. We got intrigued and bought one.
So we cracked the egg and got a small portion of chocolate concoctions and a toy (a tic-tac-toe one to be exact). The sweet edible surprise consisted of two chocolate-covered wafer balls and a river of milk and chocolate cream. We liked the wafer balls; they were crispy and had the right sweetness. The cream however was a bit too much for us. Too saccharine! We cringed actually.
But of course, who are we to complain, for we are not the target customers of Kinder Joy. And we figured kids would love it. Then again parents, do you really want to feed your kids something that may give them early diabetes?
Kinder Joy is available at leading supermarkets.
Try it and judge for yourself.
