Look who's joining the bandwagon!

The French Baker finally gives in and creates its version of the ubiquitous baked hybrid.  Presenting, the Croinut, the croissant-doughnut with a cream filling and that comes in three variants: dark chocolate, white chocolate, and strawberry.

The bread itself was O-K.  It was a little tough to eat.  Taste wise, it tasted like your good old bicho-bicho, a little too sugary.  The cream filling was not bad.  At least it wasn't too saccharine to the palate.

The frosting was pasty but tasted good.  The white chocolate was the best.  The strawberry was the worst not because it tasted bad but because it was misleading; it didn't taste like strawberry but like good, candy-like, sweet frosting.

A Croinut costs Php 68.

Try it and judge for yourself.
