Place: Clean, well-lighted. Chairs and tables are sturdy and spacious enough.
Food: Delicious! We ordered the Sisig Domeng, Chicken Barbecue, Beef Salpicao, and Buko Pandan. The meals came with rice and free soup (a hearty, tasty broth).
The Sisig Domeng was absolutely yummy! Crunchy and flavorful pork cheeks and skin, topped with sunny side up egg. It also has minced red chili for some kick. We really think it is the best sisig in Metro Manila. It's definitely a must-eat!
The Chicken Barbecue features two well-cooked (read: moist, juicy) chicken pieces smothered with a tangy barbecue sauce. This one is for those who like their barbecue with a very pronounced tomato sauce/ketchup flavor. The charred, grilled taste is subtle, making one wonder if the chicken is really grilled or braised or baked.
Next, the Beef Salpicao. Tender beef pieces, cooked with a savory, oil-based sauce. The garlic flavor is pronounced but not overpowering; it's perfectly tempered by the sweetness of the onions, the citrus flavor of calamansi, and heat from the chopped finger chilis. Good marriage of flavors! The sauce goes well with rice, lots of rice.
Finally, the Buko Pandan. Crisp coconut meat, soft but firm jelly, all swimming in a sweet, creamy, green, delicious concoction. Two things we loved: the contrast of textures provided by the slices of coconut meat and the jelly, and the just-right sweetness of the sauce. This one's a perfect end to an already satisfying meal.
Must-eats: Sisig Domeng, Beef Salpicao (Or Squid Salpicao)
